Square Enix has announced today that they are lifting the restrictions on the Final Fantasy XIV Free Trial, which was originally locked to fourteen days only. Now, anyone can experience this award winning MMORPG in preparation for the release of their newest expansion Stormblood for free, up to level 35. Players will be able to continue exploring the realm of Eorzea for as long as they like, or try out different playable races, classes, and jobs.
These enhancements do not only count toward newly created accounts, any previous trial account (expired or not) will be reactivated, allowing players to continue their previous adventures right where they left off. Free trial players can access all content up to level 35, create up to eight playable characters (one per world), join parties or linkshell groups with fellow players, and battle their way to Floor 10 in the Deep Dungeon.
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is scheduled to be released on June 20 for PC and PlayStation 4. To culminate the story found in Heavensward, Patch 3.56 released today, which brings the narrative there to a close.
We’ll have continued coverage on Final Fantasy XIV, and we definitely encourage everyone to try out the game for free now that you are able to up to level 35. It is by far one of the better MMO experiences currently available on the market.
