Square Enix made a huge announcement over the weekend at the Final Fantasy XIV Fan Fest in Las Vegas. The next expansion in the popular MMORPG will be Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, and will take players to two new exciting places. One of the bigger pieces of news coming from this announcement is that the expansion will only be available on PC and PlayStation 4. PlayStation 3 support is being dropped when Stormblood officially releases. Square Enix did say that they will be offering a free upgrade for users on the PlayStation 3 to get the PlayStation 4 version of the game. Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood will be released sometime during Summer 2017. More information will be shared at the Tokyo Fan Festival, which takes place December 24 and December 25.
