Tonight at The Game Awards 2016, Nintendo revealed a handful of new details, as well as a brand new trailer, on their upcoming adventure game for the Switch and Wii U, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Both of these videos serve as the first extended look on the game since it was shown off at E3 2016. The first trailer is a glimpse of what and who Link will be seeing and interacting with throughout the world. In this trailer, we may get our first tease at Princess Zelda, possibly having a much larger role in the game than we originally were thinking.
The next video Nintendo brought to The Game Awards was a four minute gameplay session in an area that we haven’t seen yet of Breath of the Wild. Link meets up with a minstrel, Kass, who sings a song that gives clues as to the whereabouts of the next Shrine Link should be exploring. After receiving these hints, Link sets off toward the Shrine, taking out and sneaking around the enemies surrounding it. Check out the next footage below.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is scheduled to release sometime in 2017 for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U. Level Down Games will have more information as it becomes available.
