Blizzard Entertainment is mere weeks away from dropping Patch 7.2 in World of Warcraft: Legion, which has been on the public test realm servers for months, onto the live servers for the masses to consume and enjoy. We’ve spent the better part of seven months storming the Broken Isles, upgrading our artifacts and searching for rare hidden appearances, grinding world quests until our fingers bled for Artifact Power and Order Resources, staying up to date on our class order hall campaign and the Illidan Stormrage questline, and downing bosses weekly within the Emerald Nightmare, Trial of Valor, and the Nighthold. But that’s all soon to be in the past, and now is the perfect time to move on. With the Patch 7.2 release date being soon, are you prepared?
One of the new features within the upcoming update is the Broken Shore, where we initially assaulted the Legion in the pre-expansion event back during the summer months. Once we arrive on the shores, we’ll be greeted with an entirely new questing area, one which we must build up and eventually obtain the necessary strength and numbers to assault the Tomb of Sargeras. Think of this island in terms of the Isle of Quel’danas from Burning Crusade, or the Isle of Thunder from Mists of Pandaria. It’ll take us weeks, possibly longer depending on the content schedule the developers have worked out, to be able to finish the story line being presented to us in the new area. But there will be individual buildings to help construct to obtain temporary boosts and rewards in-game, like the new appearances for each artifact that are being added. You’ll want to have the Mage Tower around for that one!
Once we finish building up our resources, we’ll be free to assault the Tomb of Sargeras, which is the next raid that will be available to players. A nice sized raid consisting of 10 bosses, the ultimate showdown with Kil’jaedan will once again take place after we disposed of Gul’dan in the Nighthold. Not only is there a new raid, but the return of dungeons in patches has happened! A new four boss dungeon, the Cathedral of Eternal Night, is also on the Broken Isles for those that enjoy the 5-man content to appreciate.
A number of other features and updates are coming to World of Warcraft in Patch 7.2, way too many to touch upon all of them in one article. Instead, we’ll be taking a look at several of the upcoming changes and additions over the next several weeks leading up to the release of the new content, which we should be finding out about when that will be relatively soon.
The only question remains is, are you prepared?
Stick with Level Down Games, as we’ll have continued coverage on World of Warcraft, including Patch 7.2.
