The Epic Games Store, which launched back in December 2018, just crossed the one year anniversary of being an alternative storefront to Steam. Back when it launched, Epic promised that for the first year of the store’s existence, they would give away a new free game every two weeks on the storefront, and soon that turned into one (and sometimes two) free games weekly.

The program was set to expire at the end of 2019, but due to the overwhelming success it has had for Epic, they announced today that the weekly free games program will continue through 2020. For anyone interested, the current free game on the Epic Games Store is Sundered: Eldritch Edition, a super fun Metroidvania.
